Man Made Puzzle....

One of the hardest things that one might come across in the near future is trying to exit Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore.  Being as busy as it is, people should be notified which roads lead to  dead ends and which ones will result in you driving in the wrong lane.  Being an International Airport, they should have at least one board in English to guide the people towards the exit, because not everyone can read Urdu,.  Or maybe the airport personnel is taking its part in further frustrating the Pakistani people, but in a more puzzling way?

lol, at least that's better than bombay where anything and everything is named "Chattrapati Shivaji".  Both the domestic and international airports are called chattrapati shivaji and the main train station is also called chattrapati shivaji terminus.  So directions in bombay would be like:

Make a right at chattrapati shivaji junction, then go along chattrapati shivaji road for 2 miles and make a left on chattrapati shivaji road.  After another mile, you will see chattrapati shivaji domestic airport on your left.  Then make a right on to chattrapati shivaji marg to get to chattrapati shivaji international airport !!!!!!

All this is courtesy "shiv sena".  Who cares if you cant put a single brick towards developing the city, at least you can change the names of institutions and landmarks that others have built to take credit !!!!!

Okay, but at least they have names to be guided by, at least someone knows what road to take a right or left from.  The situation at the Lahore Airport is just absurd, as in no joke.  I drove around for 15 minutes trying to find my way out, and a couple of times I drove into the wrong lane and stopped traffic.  Wonder how many friends I made that nite. And on top of that, once I found my way out of the airport and reached Bhatta Chowk, the beloved police stopped me to make a quick buck.  But that didnt go so well for them, because I was already quite pissy bout getting lost.  They had to go home empty handed.

@Befair

Good one...thanks for sharing with us. Is this your personal experience??

Yes I have lived in Bombay until about 10 yrs ago and still go back to visit every year. Of course the turning right from chhatrapati Shivaji road to chhatrapati Shivaji road was an exaggeration, but it is true that both airports and the main railway station is named chhatrapati Shivaji along with scores of roads and chowks(square). The shiv sena is nothing more than a bunch of hooligans who are tigers in bombay, but who will shit in their pants if sent to the border

anyways, people still refer to the airports and the railway station by their old names.
